Natural rubber balls - NR
Gum made from the latex of Hevea brasiliensis plants. They are distinguished by high wear resistance, tensile strength, high elasticity and good resistance to low temperatures.

Ethylene propylene diene monomer balls - EPDM
Synthetic rubber terpolymer obtained from the copolymerization of ethylene, propylene and a third monomer represented by a diene. They have good resistance to heat, aging and chemical agents, good elasticity, good resistance to low temperatures, good insulating power and excellent wear resistance.

Nitrile butadiene rubber balls- NBR
Synthetic rubber obtained by copolymerizing acrylonitrile with butadiene. They have good resistance to petrol, oils and mineral greases, but are poorly resistant to ageing by weathering.
- Hardness: 40 Sh/A to 90Sh/A
- Impact elasticity: 10 to 50%
- Working temperature: from -50/-10°C up to 100°C (short periods at 120°C)
- Electrical characteristics: low insulating power
- Gas permeability: Less than NR, SBR and EPDM
- Resistance to ozone, aging and bad weather: poor
Resistant to: aliphatic hydrocarbons (propane, butane, gasoline, mineral oils and fats, kerosene); flame-retardant hydraulic fluids of the HCF group; animal and vegetable oils and fats; silicone oils and greases; water; many dilute acids, bases and salt solutions at room temperature
Medium resistance to: fuels with high aromatic content (e.g. super fuels); hydraulic fluids of the HFA group that are hardly flammable and of the HFB group
Not resistant to: Aromatic hydrocarbons (benzene); chlorinated hydrocarbons (trichlorethylene); low-flammable hydraulic fluids of the HFD group; Polar solvents (acetone, acetic acid ethyl ester)
Fields of application: Mainly used in the mechanical, hydraulic, automotive and petrochemical sectors. Cleaning systems, sieving and mixing devices, non-return valves, safety valves, foot valves for depressors, valves for watering devices, pumps, shock absorbers, sealing valves for submersible pumps.

VITON fluorinated rubber balls - FKM
Non-flammable fluorocarbon elastomer with remarkable resistance to low temperatures, ozone, oxygen, mineral oils, synthetic hydraulic fluids, fuels, aromatic compounds, many solvents and organic chemical agents. If the compound is composed correctly, they are resistant to water, steam and a number of acids. The high price and poor elasticity at low temperatures are the disadvantages of this type of rubber.

- Impact elasticity: 5 to 8%, increases quickly with increasing temperature

Synthetic elastomer with exceptional resistance to hot air and at the same time remarkable elasticity at low temperatures, excellent resistance to ozone, oxygen, UV rays and atmospheric agents, excellent insulating power, exceptional physiological characteristics, heat resistance, non-toxicity.

Polyurethane balls- PU
Rubber produced by the isocyanate polyaddition process. They are distinguished by outstanding wear resistance, high tensile strength, relatively high elasticity and good resistance to high-energy rays. They are also resistant to ozone, oxygen, ageing, mineral oils and mineral fats and water up to 40°C. They are not resistant to hot water, steam, moist hot air, acids and leaching liquids.

- Impact elasticity: from 30 to 50%
- Working temperature: from -30/-25°C up to 80°C (for a short time up to 100/120°C)
- Electrical characteristics: not suitable for electrical insulation
- Gas permeability: very limited
- Resistance to ozone, aging and weathering: good enough to ozone and oxygen, moisture causes hydrolysis
Resistant to: pure aliphatic hydrocarbons (propane, butane, gasoline); mineral oils and greases (particular oily additives can damage the material); silicone oils and greases; water up to 40°C
Not resistant to: aromatic and chlorinated hydrocarbons; ketones, esters, ethers, alcohols and glycols; glycol-based brake fluids; flame-retardant hydraulic fluids of the HFC and HFD group; hot water, steam, alkalis, amines, acids
Fields of application: Used where high wear resistance is required, possibly in combination with resistance to mineral oils and ozone. Cleaning systems, sieving and mixing devices.

Rubber composed of natural rubber and styrene-butadiene. They are distinguished by high wear resistance, tensile strength, high elasticity and good resistance to low temperatures.
