Project financed under POR FESR 2014-2020 #FesrLombardia
The project expanded the production line with the purchasing of a new Compression Molding Machine installed in the specially built “Clean Room”. Subsequently, the new machine and some previously installed ones were connected to the network in key 4.0 as required by Ministerial Circular 4/E of 30/03/2017. The project did not aim to develop only the newly purchased machinery, but to interconnect to the factory system with other components of the processing cycle further machinery already installed in the company in the IIoT perspective. In this way, we have been able to improve the company’s organisation and competition in the market, bringing fundamental innovations for the future development of the company. The interconnection of the machinery to the factory system has made it possible to minimise waste and calculation errors, enabling a clear improvement in the support services offered to our customers.
The expansion of production in the Clean Room has enabled the company to expand its production and, above all, to diversify it by introducing a series of products required by the market with clean room production certificates (ISO 8) for the medical, biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors.
The objectives were achieved in accordance with the macro-themes of the Lombardy Region’s S3 strategy, concerning the priority themes of technological development, the complementarity of the skills present in Lombardy that support the development of the main enabling technologies indicated as strategic by the European Manufacturing roadmaps, referring in our case to:
– MA1 Manufacturing with innovative processes;
– MA2 Evolutionary and adaptive production systems.
