Screening refers the process of separating solids according to particle size.
To separate coarser materials, inclined vibrating screens or rotary screens are used; for finer materials, flat or circular vibrating screens and nutation screens are used. The growing demand for equipment to screen increasingly fine particles has created many problems for screen manufacturers. For example, these screens are particularly prone to clogging, requiring the use of specialised cleaning systems. Organic or silicone rubber balls are an effective cleaning tool: by bouncing between the lower screen and the sizing screen, they facilitate the passage of material between the screens, increasing the quantity processed.
Camisana produces organic rubber and silicone balls (Mesh cleaning balls) for the leading manufacturers of vibrating screens and nutation screens, providing them with specially designed products to meet their customer’s needs. For the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, the balls are moulded using suitable FDA certified materials and are polished and sanitised once the manufacturing process is complete. From the plastic, wood and recycling sectors to the metallurgical, glass, ceramic, sand and mineral industries, every cleaning ball is designed to offer optimal characteristics: bounce, antistatic properties, and resistance to wear, corrosion, loads and temperature.
Backed by over forty years of experience, our company is able to offer its customers a truly comprehensive range of products, with the ability to mix specific compounds to create custom moulded balls.
We can also provide a selection of elastomer equipment to facilitate the screening process: anti-vibration mounts, anti-torque tie rods, edging for frames, loading and unloading hoses, caps, and any other necessary items, all moulded according to the customer’s design.
